Hi everyone!

Can't wait to get everyone together to collaborate in just a few days. Here's what we're working on.

SHOTOVER is a company that makes stabilized camera heads. They're giving away one of their nicest pieces of equipment, the G1, that is often used to keep the camera steady in chase scenes and action movies.

THE CONTEST is pretty wide open - anyone can submit a video making the case for why they think they should win the G1. The videos get uploaded to the shotover site, and the videos with the most votes are considered by a panel of judges, then the judges pick the winner. Voting ends March 15, so we want to get it up asap so we have time to get enough votes.

So here's our plan.

Make a tongue-and-cheek behind the scenes video of a production company trying to make a kickass reel on a tight budget. They build shitty rigs and hack drones, dress up in drag because they can't afford models, and shoot with old Super 8 cameras. But the shots that come out look amazing - sexy 6K slo-mo footage. All the other videos take themselves very seriously, so we're trying to stand out by making the judges (and the rest of the video community) laugh and also prove that we have the chops to put their gear to good use.
